There are a lot of myths in regards to if Christian can go to counselling. Probably the biggest myth is that Christian counselling is about telling people what God wants them to do!
Christian counselling is not about telling you what to do or believe, but rather it’s about exploring how your faith impacts your identity and ultimately your life story. It’s taking a closer look at how your faith affects how you see the world, process your struggles, and interact with other relationships in your life.
I am a Christian counsellor that keep God at the centre of all that I do. I work in a holistic, non-judgmental way ensuring that I am guided by the word of God and the Holy Spirit. I am a member of The British Association of Christians in Psychology which ensure that I adhere to high standards of proficiency, professionalism and follow Christian practice.
