Hello and a warm welcome to my page

My name is Davina Dobbs, and I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor (MBACP) and proud member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming; it can take just one more thing to knock you off balance emotionally and mentally! I want to remind you that it’s OK not to be OK.

Time In Counselling was founded to support you on your journey through life. My mission is to walk alongside you as you navigate uncertainty and face life’s challenges. I am deeply committed to working with individuals from all walks of life. Through my experience, I have seen how misconceptions, stigma and myths can prevent people from accessing the support they deserve.

While I believe knowledge is an important tool in helping others, I also recognise the profound impact that culture, race, gender, ethnicity, beliefs and spirituality can have on an individual’s experience. My integrative therapeutic approach focuses on understanding the inner world of each client and their unique perspective. I also value authenticity and lived experience, as I believe this is where meaningful connection and growth begin.

I have supported individuals at many different stages of life across a range of settings, including NHS IAPT services, community organisations, charities and private practice. I specialise in abuse-related concerns, including sexual abuse and trauma, as well as relationship difficulties. I also have experience supporting clients with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, isolation and other psychological challenges.
